About Me

Ben LoboI received my PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University in May 2011. My co-advisors were Dr. Thom Hodgson and Dr. Kristin Thoney. Details of my dissertation research can be found here.

I passed the ISE PhD qualifying exams in August 2008, unconditionally passed my preliminary proposal in April 2010, and successfully defended my dissertation in April 2011.

I received my Master of Operations Research degree from NC State in May 2008.

I attended the College of William & Mary for my undergraduate where I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in May 2006.


I worked as an Industrial Engineer for the Army Research Laboratory from October 2011 until October 2013.

I am currently a Research Associate in the Predictive Technology Laboratory at the University of Virginia.
