RAL opened on January 4th 2018. It is a text-only bulletin board with several
*continuities*, each of which has a focus.

RAL was innovative in that it was the first and only real-time BBS. However,
I remembered that IRC was also a real-time BBS and so all the real-time
functionality of RAL was removed.

RAL doesn't stand for anything. It is just named for the City of Oaks in which
I wrote the software.
