Tags: Things List
Coming up with a list of things I want to do in Japan is difficult. Because I have never visited the country, I have only the faintest idea of what I want to do, things I want to see, or foods I want to eat.
I do, however, have a list of things I do not want to do. Here's the order that my list is in:
Use a computer for very long
Think hard about what's going on state-side
Worry about the logistics of travel
I've gotten a lot better at managing responsibility without adding any day-to-day anxiety; sometimes people think I'm careless or whimsical, but that can't be true. When I face a challenge, I put forth my best effort and no more, for worrying can do no good. I recognize the importance of doing good work; over-thinking is dangerous, counter-productive to my good work.
Now, I really understand what I wrote some time ago in my diary: you can find so much more time in the day if you don't browse imageboards, click pointlessly around the Internet, watch TV, fool yourself into putting any merit in virtual reality.
Don't worry over what other people are thinking about you. They're too busy worrying over what you are thinking about them.
